Information You Submit
Terms Entered in Search
When you type a name, location, or other detail into a search tool, that entry is sent to the third-party provider that operates the search. Crawford County Released Inmates does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s handling of the query is governed by its own privacy terms.
Messages Sent to Us
If you send an email or use a contact form, we retain the message and the contact details needed to respond. We do not share those communications outside our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Technical Details Collected Automatically
Ordinary web systems create limited technical records when a page loads. Those records may include:
- The internet protocol address used for the visit
- The browser name and version
- The device category and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- The referring website, when one is supplied
- Dates and times associated with requests
Cookie Use
Cookies help us understand how visitors move through the site. Most browsers let you reject or remove cookies through their settings. Blocking them may cause some functions to work differently or not work as expected.
Reasons We Use Information
- Operate the site and maintain reasonable speed
- Send search requests to the appropriate partner service
- Understand which pages visitors find useful
- Detect, diagnose, and repair technical problems
- Display advertising that may reflect visitor interests
Other Sites and Services
Crawford County Released Inmates links to county release-record resources, the Crawford County Sheriff and jail, Michigan Department of Corrections services, federal or immigration tools, government portals, and outside search providers. Once you follow one of those links, the destination’s privacy policy controls its collection and use of information.
Some advertising providers may use their own technology to follow activity across different websites and select interest-based advertising. That tracking occurs on the provider’s systems, not ours.
